School of Humanities
All programmes in the School of Humanities (SoH) have one overarching goal: to transform lives through exposing learners of all ages and backgrounds to the riches of culture and philosophy, particularly in a cross-cultural context.
The School has a wide portfolio of programmes including language learning, early childhood education, social sciences, English language and Chinese language and Culture. It also has responsibility for provision of cross campus modules including Physical Education, Chinese Culture and Values and Philosophy.
The members of the academic team have qualifications from world-class universities, such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Beijing Normal University, Oxford University, Edinburgh University, etc. The academic faculty work together with industrial experts to provide services to the government, Media, NPOs, NGOs, and students can learn professional skills in a real world environment.
In addition to degree programmes, the SoH also offers Chinese language and culture courses to more than 500 foreign students every year, in the co-operation with the National Confucius Institute Headquarters(Hanban).
